Kondalamahanthy’s thesis includes detailed field investigation, groundwater analysis, strain-softening behaviour, geometry reconstruction, and both 2D and 3D back-analyses of the Forest City landslide. The work shows how 3D effects, lateral confinement, and anisotropic shear strength influence back-calculated parameters, and why 3D modelling was necessary to match observed failure patterns.
