Liquefaction Behaviour Under Cyclic Loading

Martin and co-authors investigate liquefaction of saturated sands under cyclic loading using laboratory tests. They relate cyclic stress ratio, number of load cycles and relative density to the onset of liquefaction or cyclic mobility and discuss pore-pressure build-up and strain accumulation. They propose criteria for evaluating liquefaction potential in the field.
