Stability Analysis of Slope with Water Flow by Strength Reduction Method

Wei and Cheng investigate the stability of slopes under seepage by combining finite‑element seepage analysis with the shear‑strength‑reduction technique. The study examines how rainfall infiltration and pore‑pressure redistribution change the critical slip surface and factor of safety. Numerical examples for sandy and clayey slopes demonstrate the influence of hydraulic boundary conditions and soil permeability on stability.
